GPT-6.1 Terra is OpenAI's October 2026 release in the Terra line, available via API as gpt-6.1-terra and in ChatGPT Work/Codex. It accepts text and image input with a 1.05M-token context, outputs text, and supports reasoning.effort settings from none through max. The Max variant targets high-volume agentic tasks like screen interpretation, technical drawing analysis, and clear writing while maintaining lower per-token pricing than Sol or Astra.
