Codex Gateway provides a secure bridge between ChatGPT Web and local workspaces using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It enables AI models to discover and invoke local Codex tools, run durable workspace tasks, and access terminal commands through an OpenAI Secure MCP Tunnel without exposing entire file schemas to the model's default context.
